Night One. We Have Arrived!

Hello Rents!

We landed safely today in New Orleans after 12 hours of a tiresome journey and traveled to Bay St. Louis via two large vans driven by the kind Bryce and Bryant. We arrived at St. Augustine's (the seminary where we're staying) and then finally after multiple complaints from Mr. Cosgrove, got lunch at Popeye's. Then we took a group trip to Wal-Mart to buy our shampoo and wrestling action figures (Joe McGrath). Everyone also took advantage of the rollback prices and bought fuzzy blankets for the very low price of $7.95.

We learned a little bit about the history of St. Augustine's from Father Gus, a priest our chaperones met while touring the grounds. He said that throughout all the hurricans that have come through this area, it was never underwater until Katrina. The rooms we are staying in were under eight feet of water. There were guests staying in these rooms who climbed up into the ceiling tiles to escape the water. Other guests held onto logs and floated to another part of the grounds where there was only four feet of water.

We are all very excited to get to work tomorrow! We want to give a shout out to the Grogan and S Thomas families!

Love Sean and Molly

  3. Hi Molly and friends,
Love the post! And love the pictures. I think the wresting action figures should be mandatory for everyone. That would be fun to wear on the job site. Keep Mr. Cosgrove fed and happy.
